All MFFL rules are base on official NFL Flag rules. Some age appropriate variations have been made for specific age divisions. See below for rules of note and MFFL age division-specific rules.

-Only one first down is possible per drive. (At midfield.)
-3 downs for a first down. You may "go for it" on 4th down on your own side of the field.
-No fumbles. Play is dead if the ball hits the ground.
-All blocking is illegal.
-Center is eligible.
-Quarterback can NOT advance the ball past the line of scrimmage with possession of ball.
-Flag belt must be over shirt. Jersey tucked.
-All laterals and pitches are illegal.
-Defense can’t cross the line of scrimmage until the QB gets rid of the ball.
-INT’s are returnable.
-All drives begin on the 5-yard line. (Unless the there has been an INT.)

U6
-2 point conversions are a must throw from 5 yardline.
-No pass rush allowed
-Ignore the “no run zone” in the NFL Flag Rule Book.
-1 Coach on the field.
-No 7-second pass rule
-No official score keeping.
-No officials required.
-No safetys

U8
-2 point conversions are throw or run with the ball snapped from the 10 yardline.
-1 point conversion is a must throw from the 5 yard line.
-No pass rush allowed
-Ignore the “no run zone” in the NFL Flag Rule Book.
-1 Coach on the field.
-No 7-second pass rule
-No official score keeping.
-No officials required.
-Safety’s enforced

U10-U14
-2 point conversions are throw or run with the ball snapped from the 10 yardline.
-1 point conversion is a must throw from the 5 yard line.
-Full Blitz (rusher must begin 7 yards from scrimmage.)
-Honor the “no run zone” (within 5 yards of a TD or first down.)
-Coaches off the field.
-Score is kept.
-Safety’s enforced.
-Coin toss determines possession. Opposite team gets first possession of 2nd half.
-Two-25 minute halves. 
-Each team gets one timeout per half.
-40-second play clock loosely enforced.
-All penalty yardage enforced as 5 yards.
